Staying conscious 101

Today in a ever-evolving modern world we are faced with many challenges, social pressures, and ideals that sometimes result in anxiety, stress and depression. We are told that this is an inevitable truth in such a world, but this only exists within those who chose believe it. Our greatest gift is our ability to create emotion, feeling, and thought in any given moment regardless of what is happening on the exterior. You are the creator of your reality; do not give the liberty of this to anybody. Do not allow others to control your emotionally. A lot of suffering stems from our views on ideals or what we "should" be like; when we are unique individuals. Do not allow the views of others to influence you negatively, it is up to you to interpret everything you take in and discern what is beneficial for you. Do not fall into the traps that modern society places upon us, through social media, ideals, and many other ploys designed to keep you thinking in a self destructive way.

In every second and moment of life, be conscious of your thoughts and talk to yourself. Ask yourself, is this correct? Should I be doing this? Am I doing something wrong? How do I feel? How should I change? You're thoughts should never be self destructive. Always self-motivational, never rely on anybody for any emotion, praise, or help because you can achieve anything you set your MIND and ENERGY to. Give yourself more credit than you already do, because there is only ONE YOU. Only ONE life, so make the most of it in every moment.

Many of us project our problems onto others, and in turn miss the picture. When you change yourself, you will change others in turn; because you will be an example that others will want to follow. So all change starts with you and not others. Sometimes its hard to see this because of situations in life; this or that happens. But it is all happening for a reason, a lesson; to learn from and make you stronger. There is a positive in every negative. You might feel a certain way mad, angry, sad, depressed because of a break-up, a fight, a loss, life-situation in the present moment; but ask yourself this simple question: are you going to be like this a month from now? Or even a week from now? Perhaps a day? So what is stopping you from changing your emotion this present moment. Take charge of your mind. Stay conscious.

My sincerest blessings and best wishes upon everybody reading this.

How to balance yourself with technology

Technology has come a long way since the invention of the abacus; especially in the last century. These advancement have come as a blessing and a curse in which we can find comfort and convenience but in turn lead us astray from well-being and purpose for life. We are in constant contact with computers, phones, cars, television, social media, variety of frequencies and  electromagnetic fields and many other things that have come with living in the 21st century. When we look at all of these things s we must dive deeper into what they could all possibly be doing to us, what effect might they have on us physically and psychologically.

Starting with television and sources of media. It is very well understood that we as humans are quite sensitive to the information we receive and how it leaves an imprint in our minds. People who create media are aware of this, and are very particular in the news that they release to the public, to control perception. If we look at the content on news media ,shows, and movies today, it is very destructive, violent, and vulgar in every way possible. This is because they are slowly trying to desensitize us to all of these things which has an impact on life all around the world.

A lot of technology today has caused us to become lazy, not only physically but mentally as well. Not only do we rely on cars heavily for transportation now, but we also rely on technology to do the thinking for us so much so that we are not flexing our mental and physical muscles to the bare minimum anymore. Constant bombardment from electromagnetic fields and frequencies from phones and routers has a significant impact on human health. A number of studies have been conducted on the impact cellular devices have with humans, especially if you are holding them up to your head.

It is vital that we limit our activity on these devices not only for the physical impact but on the psychological impact they have on us. Often we find ourselves checking our phones first thing in the morning or constantly throughout the day; slowly we are becoming slaves to these devices and big corporations know this. Every time we receive a like, comment, or something similar it is a form of dopamine release and we are becoming ever more hungry, dependent and conditioned to this type of stimulus. I am not saying technology is something that is supposed to be avoided. We have the world at our fingertips, but it is important that we are consciously using this technology and not allowing it to use us. Do not become a slave.

Substance abuse and its impact on us mentally

In todays generation there is just about every type of chemical for every type of feeling, emotion or problem! For a dullness of the senses we have alcohol, for stimulus of certain receptors in the brain we have medication such as Adderall, for depression or anxiety we have xanax and other benzodiazepines, for pain we have painkillers like oxycodone and T3's, for spiritual experiences we have LSD, mushrooms, DMT, just to name a few or for heightened sense of life we have marijuana. Natural or synthetically made ultimately we are relying on an external source for all these experiences and phenomena.

You must understand that anything that comes externally and not from within ultimately will not bring you any closer the phenomena that is life and the possibilities that it comes with, all it can do is draw you further away from your natural self. Even though today we might know that there are THC receptors within the brain, this does not mean we were "meant" to consume marijuana. I am not saying that there are no benefits to certain substances, but is it not true that our bodies are the biggest chemical factories known to man. Science tells us that every emotion and feeling has a chemical basis to it, that is why we are mentally being manipulated through many sources.  The more we become dependent on these chemicals and external sources of joy, happiness the more we are become distant from our natural abilities to be like this.

Remember when we were young, just happy for no reason at all as children, unbothered by anything; should we not be becoming happier as we age? But just the opposite is happening now as we are aging. We must ask ourselves why this might be. There are many factors which contribute to this which include: culture, influence, conditioning, environment and substance abuse. Naturally came into this world blissed out and slowly through time we have become less and less happy unfortunately due to us overlooking certain things in life. Nonetheless we should not allow this to determine how we live presently. It is never to late to make a change, as long as there is a will to change for something better there is always hope.

Depression and anxiety. Is this natural? The answer is no. Lets take a look at why. Today we are led to believe that this is the inevitable truth that we all must encounter to some degree. Even though for many this is what happens because of how life is structured today, bills to pay, social pressure, and expectations. This does not have to be the reality of your experience. You are the creator of every experience within yourself, it is how your intemperate and choose to react to your external environment.

EXAMPLE 1 -- somebody might call you ugly and you can feel hurt and sad that this happened. But when you take a second to thing about this. Who are they to tell you what you look like? Also, who are they even to pass judgments upon you? If anything they are ugly for uttering such words. Obviously their insecurities are projected on others. So do not feed into others negativity. If anything pity them for being like this.

EXMAPLE 2 - you might be anxious about your physical appearance. Firstly, this was out of your control as you were born into this world. Secondly, our views on what we consider beautiful in one part of the world might be different in another. Lastly, do not allow our supposed views on what we should be like determine how you feel about yourself. You must understand that what is going on inside your head is only your psychological drama. Other people are not thinking about what is in your head. You are the one creating it.

EXAMPLE 3 - you might be depressed because of the passing of a loved one, but this is the natural process of life. Inevitably we are all doing to go one day, just as we came here we are all leaving. Even thought the passing of humans is unfortunate and very sad at times, we must understand that they would want us to be happy. So with respect to that we should always honor it. You cannot drown yourself in your self created thoughts everyday, you must overcome and move on for it is not reality anymore it is a past event. I understand that this can sound cold at times, but it is of the utmost importance that we remember and cherish our loved one for all of the GOOD times and memories we shared and nothing less.

As you have noticed every problem has a solution which was handled thorough observation, evaluation and then practice. All of these emotions and feelings are self inflicted, ultimately your thoughts and feelings turn against you. You are the creator of your experience regardless of outside influence, you must understand this. There is no pill or substance in the world which can fix this for you. You might find temporary relief from a certain substance but you are not going to the root cause of the problem and addressing it. Xanax for example suppresses certain receptors in the brain causing you to not feel anymore and ultimately go to sleep. This isn't curing your depression or anxiety, it is just temporarily numbing your senses and causing damage to your brain. Many people who consume psychoactive substances such as LSD and mushrooms report that if they take a Xanax while on a trip this rids them of the experience they are having. Through science we have learned that taking mushrooms and LSD, increases activity inside the brain and connects regions that previously haven't been since childhood. So we must ask ourselves what are these prescription medications that are prescribed by medical practitioners actually doing to our brains and bodies when we are
sober. I urge all of you to independently do your research and educate yourselves and most importantly use your given gift of logic, reasoning, and discernment.

Self-awareness leading to self-improvement

It is important to constantly be aware of what you are thinking, why you are thinking it, and if you should even be thinking it. We go through a lot of emotions and thoughts throughout the day, so much so that sometimes we are in a never ending cycling of recycling thoughts and thought patters. These thoughts may be destructive, counter-productive, or just unnecessary. So it is always important to analyze ones thoughts. Treat others the way you want to be treated -- is a saying that one should live by, knowing this it is easy to discern behavior or thoughts that you might want to illuminate or stop. The power of discernment is within all of us, and it is up to use to employ it and put it into practice. Not only to better ourselves but to better the people around us; because when we are able to less selfish and more servant to others, this is where we will find the key.

Sometimes we find ourselves always thinking the same or acting and reacting the same way everyday to the same things, it is important to recognize these things especially if they are not beneficial to us. If we could look at everything as if it is the first time we are seeing it -- meaning without thought or preconceived notion then we would be seeing it really for what it is. If we constantly look at things for what we remember them as or what we "think" they are then we are missing the picture. For example, you might have an ex girlfriend or boyfriend. If every time you see them you thinking about "oh they cheated on me", "oh they are like this or that" then you are only seeing them for that. You are not seeing them for the possibility of becoming something better rather limiting them for their potential.
